Roll out the red CarpetThe Queen has Arrived!
Okay, well, not exactly a queen, her name is Princess. She was led into the barn by her handler, trainer, rider, and friend Toby Covel. His blue eyes scanned the area, what stall was she supposed to go in? The cowboy raised his head to get a better view of the barn since his straw cowboy hat blocked some. He held the white cotton lead rope to his, older, appaloosa mare. She was 15.3 h and was a chestnut with a white snow fall on her body. The cowboy looked at the other horses in the barn, they looked like the pure-bred, shiny coated horses in all the magazines he read about. Not a flaw of beauty on them. He looked at his appy, "Well girl, these horses seem to be out of our league." Princess snorted in timing to his question causing the cowboy to chuckle. He patted her neck, surely someone was around that could help them.

Bre was riding past the front of the barn on her big chestnut stallion. He was 16hh and a Thoroughbred. She was wearing a hunter green long sleeve, a hunter green vest, cream breeches and black tall boots, a black velvet helmet on her head and a black crop in her hand. Her stallion, Junior was wearing green galloping boots, a black racing saddle and a green saddle pad. He was snorting and prancing across the gravel his neck arched, he was raring to go. He wanted to run. They were headed to the track to have a little fun. Bre was riding jockey style. She hadn't noticed the new trainer.

The clip-clop of another horse could be heard and the cowboy's blue eyes casted a gaze over. He saw a younger girl riding a tall, elite thoroughbred. The animal looked like it could run. Toby observed how the girl's clothes matched the horse's tack. He looked at his own clothes, faded blue jeans, scuffed cowboy boots, and a western shirt untucked sloppily, and his hat had seen better days too.
Toby wasn't the shy type none, but his horse beat him to the question. She nickered lightly to the stallion as a friendly greeting. Her bright eyes flashed with color and her eyelashes fluttered up and down.
"Excuse me ma'am," the cowboy grinned with a southern drawl, "pardon my horse, but maybe you could help us out?"

Oh hello, sorry I didn't see you there. Bre replied in a slightly english accent as she pulled Junior to a stop. The stallion objected and pulled at the reins trying to get his head back but she wouldn't give. What is it you needed help with? she asked looking over him and his horse to get a sense of who they were and where they came from.

"Well, I ain't sure where to put Princess, um," the cowboy looked down the aisle, "I don't know which stall she goes in...she's never been kept in a stall before actually, so uh, I don't really know anything about-" he looked around the barn and grinned, "-all this."
He did feel slightly embarrassed, but would never let that show. He always shrugged everything off with a grin, well, tried too anyway. But this was a new experience for both him and his horse. Princess wouldn't object the stall, it was just like a horse trailer, but the key was which one?

As of now I think that any stall that doesn't have a name on the front of it is available so I would just suggest using anyone of those she replied with a smile. Junior was prancing to the side now but Bre seemed to take no notice to it and just let him anse around. He whinnied and tossed up his head before rearing up, Bre grabbed some mane and shoved her weight forward forcing him back to the ground then tapped him with the crop muttering a "bad boy" to him at the same time. Sorry he is a little hot she replied.

"Oh okay, that works," the cowboy smiled. He glanced at the stallion's pacing, the chestnut reared up and took a step back, closer to Princess. The mare pinned her ears back at the stallion's behavior. Toby watched how calmly and under control the girl handled her mount. He raised an eyebrow in surprise, impressed, but quickly returned his face to normal, "That's alright," he replied with a smile clearing his throat, "Thanks for your help, and I guess I'll see you around?" he questioned.

No problem she smiled and made Junior walked in a small tight circle until he calmed down. Yeah I will be around, you are more then welcome to come down to the track if you want, I am going to run him in a few minutes she shrugged just tossing the invitation out there, she knew it was hard to not know anyone and be the new guy in town.

Toby nodded and watched once again how she handled the stallion, she proved to be a great equestrian. The cowboy had met many different types of horse people. He smiled when she mentioned he'd see her around. His eyes looked at the ground, for a split second, then back up when she invited him to come watch her run. He smiled, "I'd love too..."
The racetrack was a place Toby hadn't seen much of. He looked at his mare, and smirked. Running on the track, that would be amazing, he always wondered how the jockeys must felt, the adrenaline pumping and racing through their veins. His eyes got a faraway look in them as he looked up at the girl, "I don't suppose appaloosas are allowed huh?" he asked half joking, and half serious.

Anyone is more then welcome to run on the track she laughed, Junior would love the company, I can't promise he will wait for you once we start running though. She wasn't bragging about anything she just knew that her Thoroughbred would be able to outrun the Appaloosa, it was just how they were bred. Just like how the Appy would be way better at western then her stallion. This should be really fun she smiled Maybe you could help me with my barrel racing sometime? she questioned not sure if he knew much about the subject but figuring it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Toby was thrilled to hear he could run on the track, even though his mind jumped with excitement, he stayed cool, "That's great," he smiled, and chuckled at her comment about the stallion not waiting, "Don't worry. I expect that, Princess travels the speed of smell."
The mare snorted again, and flicked a fly off her hindquarter with her coarse tail. Toby grinned, "It won't take me long to tack her up." He led the mare to a cardboard box on the floor with an old western saddle, slightly dirty saddle pad, and a well used western bridle. He heard the girl continue talking, and looked up when she mentioned barrel racing, "You're interested in that?" he asked in surprise. He had never barrel raced, but he'd seen it enough times he knew what had to be done, "I'd love to help you out," he grinned as he sat the saddle pad on Princess' back, then lifted the saddle with one hand and used both to place it on top of the blanket. The appaloosa stood perfectly still, with her head lowered slightly waiting for the bit. The cowboy gently put the bit in her mouth and slipped the bridle behind her ears. He unclipped the lead rope (when in a hurry, he left the halter on), threw in it the box, quickly tightened the cinch and put a foot in the stirrup and swung up in the saddle. He held his hands low, and reins with lots of slack, as western riders rode. He nodded, "Ready."

I love barrels, Junior is trained for it, believe it or not I ride both she laughed and watched him tack up. Alright let's go she smiled and turned her stud towards the track and nudged him with her heels. He jump forward into a trot before she pulled him back to a brisk walk. She walked over to the dirt oval track and stopped him at a white line drawn in the dirt, he reared once more wanting to go now. He was already sweating a little from excitement, he had been on the track for 3 years roughly. Bre waited for Toby to line up and pulled her glasses over her eyes making sure her helmet was on securely.

Emmy jogged down the gravel walkway towards the barn. She was on her way to find Arya and Bella, hoping that this early they'd be here. She stoppeed and walked when she spotted Arya and some other person. "Arya! I'm glad I found you before you went off!" She said panting as she came up next to the pair, noticing they were all tacked up. She knew Arya was going to the track, as of her obvious tack and outfit, but the other fellow didn't seem to fit. She patted Junior's smooth neck and asked, "You wanna come on my camping ride with Braun and me? I'm heading out the day after tomorrow, and still need to ask Bella."

Princess pinned her ears back again at the stallion's actions as he jumped forward. She tossed her head up in surprise. She stopped a moment, then began walking behind the stallion, keeping her distance.
Toby smooched and gently kicked the heels of his boots into the mare's sides. Princess picked up to a faster walk, then a slow trot to keep up with stallion's brisk pace. Almost on the track, Toby saw another person heading their way. She called someone's name, it must be the girl he was with. Suddenly Toby cursed under his breath, how much of a gentleman was he? He never introduced himself! He slowed Princess and let her ease up to the two girls, feeling awkward and out of place.

Emmy looked over to an Appaloosa, being ridden by someone who she thought to be the exact opposite of Arya. Grungy, western, and Arya was always tidy, well-met. She glanced up at the appaloosa's rider and introduced herself. "Oh, hi. I'm Emmy, you?" She asked, noticing that under those horsey clothes and worn cowboy hat, he was kinda cute. He was well older than herself but it never hurts to think someone looks good. She glanced back to Arya and, rubbing Junior's muzzle, she awaited her reply.
