''Stand up.'' she shouted pushing the cremello back. He flung his head up and snorted in protest. She pulled the pink rope back, close to his neck making his nose point towards his chest. He pawed the ground forcefully, the sound of his shoed hoof echoed down the isle. "Stop! Now." she shouted. Deamon nodded and neighed, prancing on the spot. She rubbed her face and tied the lead rope to the metal ring that was nailed to the wall. "You're really acting yourself now." she grunted, hauling open the heavy stable door. Deamon almost immediately calmed and watched quietly. Christine reached for the pitch fork and began laying down straw in the clean stable. A while late, when the bed of the stable was thick with straw she put down the pitch fork and took her other equipment from the floor and placed it neatly against the wall. "Okay then. Have you calmed down now?" she asked, making sure her stuff was out of the way. She looked back, Deamon looked at her through ice blue eyes and seemed to look like he was appolgising. She smiled and untied the rope before leading him in and unclipping it from the matching head collar. Shaking out his mane he felt the true happiness of once again being able to roll in soft straw. Christine stood and watched for a few miniutes before taking her things and heading for the tack room.

Luke walked slowly through the barn. He had left his mare in her stall and was trying to find some other horses just to figure out what really went on around here. To his surprise he couldn't find many. This led him to the barn labeled for studen't horses. Well let's see how good these students are he thought searching the stalls. Finding the large stallion he stopped and looked him over, nodding his head. He was a nice looking horse. After checkign him out he continued down the walkway unaware of another presense in the barn.

Brushing the dust from her cream breeches she made an attempt to clean the muck from her clothes. She popped her head around the tack room door and saw the man looking at the horses. "Hey." she said with a sweet smile across her face. He looked older than her and she took it that he must be staff. Better make a good impression she thought looking him over.

Luke turned around hearing the voice. "Oh, hello. I didn't know anyone else was here." he smiled back at the woman noting that she was younger than him. "He's your horse?" he asked slightly impressed. He walked back to the stall holding the stallion and waited for her response.

She smiled, "Yeah, he's a warmblood. Deamon." she wondered back over to the stall and her eagar stallion. He nodded his head, flashing ice blue eyes. A pink velvet nose greeted her dirty hand as she reached out to him. He nibbled her fingers with his soft lips, begging for a treat. Eyes rolling she reached into her pocket and brought out a mint, "Here." she sighed holding it to his awaiting mouth. An immediate crunching sound came from his mouth but was quickly silenced as it was swallowed. He nudged her pocket from over the door but knew he wouldn't get anything more. Turning his proud face to the newcomer he nickered softly.

Luke laughed a little. "He's got personallity." he commented. "What's he trained in?" he asked just curious about what he did her at the academy. He turned his attention from the stud to the girl as he awaited some information about the warmblood.

She laughed and pushed his nose back from trying to eat the mans clothes. "Errrm. Dressage and Driving but I compete him in jumping. The other things aren't really my thing." she said remebering that he had to be put back in training after his month off. "I'm Christine by the way." she said patting the cremello's muscular neck. "Are you an instructor?"

"Luke." he replied after she announced her name. "No, no, just a hand right now." He said with a chuckle. "I don't know your fancy way of teaching." He shook his head thinking of himself trying to teach someone to jump a horse. The student's probably knew more about it than he did. Coming back to the present time he smiled.

She laughed and nodded. "Well you'll get to know Deamon here. He's a character." Mentioning the furture she felt excitement bubble inside her stomach. She couldn't wait until school got started and she made some new friends. She studied his features breifly, not bad she thought giggling to herself. Running her fingers through the chocolate locks of her curly hair she met his eyes and looked back down. "Well I better go and unpack." she finally said giving a conclusive smile. "I'll see you around" she said in salutation.

He returned the grin as her eyes met his. "Yeah, i'm sure you'll see me again." He shook his head and walked off down the aisleway leaving the barn. He waved back to her before dissapearing outside. Looking around he decided to wonder off a little.
