Name: Ethan Jamis Age: 19 Gender: Male Subject/s: Dressage, Head of Boys Dorm Why you want to teach that subject: I have a passion for Dressage, and have orginal teaching tactics, I want to run the boys dorm because I know how to deal with boys that age in a good way.
If you intend to teacha lesson, please give a detailed example of what your lesson would be like:
My lessons in Dressage include a lot of groundwork and form work for beginners, I will even have students perform a pattern themselves without their horses to know what to look for. For more advanced riders I use other discplanes such as jumping, vaulting and even barrel racing to get their form and moves down the right way.

Name: Meredith Grey Age: 20 Gender: Female Subject/s: Cross-Country Why you want to teach that subject: **Cross Country has always been my strongest, most dominant discipline, ever since I was a little girl. I've always found it interesting, a joyful experience, and it always surprises you, to keep you on your toes. It's an adrenaline rush! If you intend to teach a lesson, please give a detailed example of what your lesson would be like: ``Beginner Novice-Novice Jumping height will be a maximum of 2'6-3'3. I don't accept riders who do not have the basics down in a controlled envirement. For safety purposes of course. I'll begin with the basics on how to approach a cross-country jump, as well as how to walk a course, checking for unsafe hazards. Top speeds should be 300-350 mpm, will be taught, & reinforced.
``Preliminary- At this point, the rider should know everything in the above in Beginner-Novice and Novice. We've already talked about safety while mounted in the previous level, but now, we will really reinforce it with not only taller, but more advance in width, area, etc. Will be taught how to ride obstacles such as drops, foreign jumps, etc. Top speeds should be 520 mpm, will be taught & reinforced. [\520 mpm\][\3'11]
``Intermediate- At this point, rider should know everything listed in the Beginner-Novice and Novice and Prelim. Now we simply reinforce all of the learned skills, increasing speed. A problem many riders have is keeping up such an high speed. Through this portion, we work on endurance for the majority of the time. Building both horse's and rider's stamina. [\550 mpm\][\5'3\]
``Advanced- By now, you are at the top of your game, this is the part where we are mostly observing, and correcting when necessary. We also have a course written out on paper, saying which jump is which. From there, you should be able to write out a detailed description on how you would approach each obstacle, without being able to look at the fences. [\570 mpm\][\5'11\]

If you intend to teach a lesson, please give a detailed example of what your lesson would be like:
English- I would first evaluate the each of the students and find out their strenghts and weaknesses. I would then average out where everyone is and help each student with their weakness. I will help every student succed.
Dressage: I would also evaluate each student at their horse seperately to see where both of them stand and work out a strategy that can help them complete their goals.
